Anyway, I have officially completed the cuff of this hat pattern. Overall, I am very proud of myself. Sure there are a couple of dropped stitches here and there. But it's homespun, and that's all that matters.

The (Not-So) Dreaded Pattern... Cont'd
As far as purling goes, it actually wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. It turns out that it's easier for me than knitting is. I am left-handed, and I don't know if that makes any difference. But I've learned to knit in the standard "right-handed" fashion.
